Ikke Hüftgold (born September 17, 1976 in Limburg an der Lahn ; real name Matthias Distel ) is a German party hit singer, producer and entrepreneur.

Career

Ikke Hüftgold comes from the Limburg district of Eschhofen . Under his real name Matthias Distel, he graduated from high school in Limburg an der Lahn in 1996, then completed his community service in geriatric care in 1996 and began studying before setting up a horticultural business with a partner in his hometown. He taught himself several instruments by himself and was the front man of various rock bands (including Scarabäus, MARIUS) from 1993 to 2006. From 2007 he wrote and produced radio plays for children (including Manolito, The journey begins), until he discovered his talent for party hits due to a losing bet. With his first single Saufen ist Scheiße, but we'll do it anyway , he made the jump to Mallorca and made his first appearance there in 2009 in the Bierkönig . There he quickly became a cult figure and performed over 150 appearances annually on Mallorca and in German-speaking Europe. In the meantime, he was the most booked German male artist on Mallorca, performing three times a week. His trademarks are the tracksuit and his raised middle finger when entering the stage. This gesture is reciprocated by the audience; it also shows the raised middle finger. He describes his character Ikke Hüftgold himself as a satirical figure.

His breakthrough came in 2014 with Big Boobs, Potato Salad . The title became a Ballermann and Mallorca hit, with more to follow.

As a songwriter and producer for singers such as Willi Herren , Jürgen Milski , Mia Julia , Menderes Bağcı , Hans Entertainment , Carsten Spengemann , Thomas Anders , Jörg and Dragan (Die RTL car dealers), Killermichel , Lorenz Büffel , he and his business partner Dominik have owned him since then de Leon is one of the most successful party hit producers in Germany. In 2015 and 2016, the party hits of the year came from the two of them (Mia Julia - Mallorca, that's me at home / Lorenz Büffel - Johnny Däpp ). For the latter, Hüftgold received a gold record in 2018, making Johnny Däpp one of the best-selling German-language hits in Germany since 1975 .

In 2012 he won the Ballermann Award in the “Best Newcomer” category. In 2014, he and Willi Herren entered the German charts for the first time with the title So go the Gauchos (So go the Germans) . The German national soccer team had sung the song after winning the world title against Argentina at the return celebration in Berlin. It is based on the nursery rhyme I know a cowboy .

In 2016, Hüftgold had 4,000 free beer cans distributed in protest against an alcohol ban on the beach. Thereupon there was a canned beer battle. Hüftgold was then banned from appearing in the Bierkönig .

In 2017 his song Urensohn attracted a lot of public attention. The text “Imo Erner is not a great son” in the chorus is an unmistakable allusion to previously popular songs of abuse against the German national soccer player Timo Werner . Although the text contradicts these hymns from a purely formal point of view (“… is not…”), Ikke Hüftgold was accused by numerous media of consciously accepting or even intending to spread the hymns against Werner with his song. Ikke Hüftgold contradicted these allegations: He emphasized the satirical character of the song and assured him that he even wanted to protect Werner with it.

In 2018, he recorded the duet Already drunk again with Ingo without Flamingo .

In 2020 the song Johnny Däpp by Lorenz Büffel, which comes from Hüftgold's pen, was awarded platinum as the first party hit song.

Television appearances

In August 2020 he took part in the 8th season of Celebrity Big Brother and is 4th there.

As an artist and music expert, Hüftgold regularly stands in front of the camera for Explosiv - Das Magazin on RTL , nudes on Sat.1 and taff on ProSieben .
