Max Fischer (artist, 1939)
Max Fischer (born November 25, 1939 ) is a painter , sculptor and object artist .
Life
Max Fischer was born in the Sudetenland . He completed his training as an industrial designer from 1957 to 1961. In 1962 he became a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists in Lower Bavaria / Upper Palatinate. From 1964 Fischer worked as a freelance artist and sculptor. A further training period at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg followed from 1964 to 1967.
Max Fischer taught from 1978 to 1980 at the Coburg - Münchberg University of Applied Sciences and from 1999 to 2001 at the Amberg-Weiden University of Applied Sciences .
From 1987 to 2007, Fischer and his wife, the textile designer Lilo Fischer, ran the Free Institute for Art and Design, the Fischer School, in Neustadt an der Waldnaab . She prepared applicants for art studies for their application. When school closed, Fischer developed a method by which aspirants to study art could create the required application portfolio themselves.
Max Fischer taught at the Dessau University of Design from 2008 to 2016 .
