Mayada Al-Sayad ( Arabic ميادة الصياد, DMG Mayyāda aṣ-Ṣayyād ; * October 26, 1992 in Berlin ) is a German - Palestinian marathon runner .

The daughter of a Palestinian dental technician and a German from Thuringia started running with her twin sister Miriam. She starts for 1. VfL Fortuna Marzahn, where she is trained by Tobias Singer. In 2014 she decided to start for the Palestinian Territories.

In 2015 she was tenth in the Berlin half marathon . In the Hamburg Marathon she came in 13th place and improved her personal record by almost twelve minutes to 2:41:44 h. So she qualified for the World Athletics Championships in Beijing , where she finished 50th in 2:53:39 h.

In 2016 she came 17th in the Dubai Marathon and stayed below the qualifying norm for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro for the second time with 2:40:00 h . At the German Championships over 10,000 m and at the 25 km in Berlin she was fourth and second at the Berlin City Night .

She carried the Palestinian flag at the opening ceremony in Rio . In the marathon she came in 67th place in 2:42:28 h.
