Me Against the World is a hip-hop album by the murdered US rapper Tupac Shakur . It was released on March 14, 1995 and reached number one on the US Billboard 200 . What's bizarre is that Tupac was in jail at the time of publication .
The album was recorded shortly after Shakur was assassinated, which is why it sounds very introspective and has more emotional ( paranoia , love , nihilism , desperation ) and religious content than his previous albums.
