Meike Harten (born May 9, 1962 in Hamburg ) is a German actress and director .

Life

Meike Harten completed her apprenticeship as an actress in her hometown and, after graduating in 1985, moved to the Landestheater Detmold for beginners there. Her next stop was the Schauspielhaus Graz , before she returned to Hamburg and was and is to be seen on stage at almost all renowned theaters: Deutsches Schauspielhaus , Ernst-Deutsch-Theater , Ohnsorg-Theater , Theater im Zimmer , Altonaer Theater , Komödie Winterhuder Fährhaus and the Kontraste Theater. Further engagements took her to Berlin, Vienna, and the festivals in Bad Hersfeld , Heppenheim and Mayen.

Among the numerous roles that Meike Harten has played on stage so far were as diverse as B. Recha in Nathan the Wise , the title role in Iphigenie auf Tauris , Barbara in Honigmond by Gabriel Barylli , Gertrud Deuter in Die Hose or Augustine in Eight Women . Until April 2016 she stood next to Joachim Bliese and Ulrike Folkerts in the German premiere of Lily Brett's play Chuzpe on the stage of the Hamburger Kammerspiele .

Meike Harten has also directed the film since 2002.
