Melanie Chartoff
Melanie Chartoff (born December 15, 1948 in New Haven , Connecticut ) is an American actress and voice actress .
Life
Chartoff attended Adelphi University after high school , from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts . In the mid 1970s she had her first minor roles in television series . Between 1980 and 1982 she was a member of the ABC comedy show Fridays in 54 episodes , an unsuccessful adaptation of the NBC format Saturday Night Live . In October 1981 she posed for Playboy . In the 1980s, she starred in various television series, including a recurring role in the sitcom Newhart , as well as one of the leading roles in the series Take Five , which was canceled after only six episodes, alongside George Segal .
Between 1990 and 1993 she played the headmistress Grace Musso in the series Parker Lewis - The Cool One at School , which made her known to a wider audience. From 1996 to 1997 she played a recurring role in the series of the same name, based on the comedy film L.ISA - The bright madness .
Since 1991 Chartoff has played the role of Didi Pickles , the mother of babies Tommy and Dil, in the animated series Rugrats , the films based on it and the spin-off All Grown Up . She had another speaking role in the third part of the Doctor Dolittle film series.
