Miguel Ángel D'Annibale (born March 27, 1959 in Buenos Aires , † April 14, 2020 there ) was an Argentine clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of San Martín .

Life

Miguel Ángel D'Annibale studied at the Diocesan Seminary of San Isidro and was ordained a priest on December 6, 1985 . In 1986 he was appointed pastor in the parish of Nuestra Señora del Carmen in Benavidez and in 1989 he was appointed chancellor and general secretary of the diocese of San Isidro, and later as general vicar of the diocese of San Isidro.

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on February 19, 2011 titular bishop of Nasai and auxiliary bishop in Río Gallegos . He was ordained episcopate on April 29th of the same year by the Bishop of San Isidro , Alcides Jorge Pedro Casaretto ; Co- consecrators were Carlos María Franzini , Bishop of Rafaela , Óscar Vicente Ojea Quintana , Coadjutor Bishop of San Isidro, Luis Alberto Fernández , Auxiliary Bishop in Buenos Aires , and Juan Carlos Romanín SDB , Bishop of Río Gallegos.

He was appointed Apostolic Administrator on April 18, 2012 and Bishop of Río Gallegos on February 21, 2013.

On October 28, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him a member of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Order of the Sacraments .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of San Martín on June 15, 2018. He was a member of the Permanent Commission of the Argentine Bishops' Conference and Chairman of the Liturgy Commission. His episcopal motto was: “As the father sent me, so I send them” (“Como el padre me envió, yo los envio”).

Miguel Ángel D'Annibale died in April 2020 of complications from chronic lymphocytic leukemia (M4) diagnosed in 2009 .
