Mike Losch (born August 24, 1974 in Berlin ) is a former German ice hockey player who was last under contract with EHV Schönheide 09 in the Oberliga Ost . Losch is a left shooter and acted as a striker .
Career
Mike Losch comes from the offspring of SC Dynamo Berlin , where he and Sven Felski found his way into the first team of Eisbären Berlin as a great talent in the early 1990s . Losch played a total of 108 games in the top German ice hockey league, where he scored eight goals and provided twelve assists.
In 1996 he moved to ETC Crimmitschau . In the 2000/01 season, Mike Losch was already out of action after 19 games this season due to a serious shoulder injury. He celebrated his comeback a year later in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey , where he was the top ETC goalscorer with 24 goals.
After eight seasons in Crimmitschau he was hired in 2004 at the neighboring club EHV Schönheide in the Ore Mountains , where he was one of the top performers in the team until 2009 and was the top scorer (57 goals) in 2008 as the regional league champion north / east with EHV Schönheide. In the 2008/09 season he acted as team captain . He became a crowd favorite in Crimmitschau and Schönheide, especially because of his fast and technically oriented style of play.
After EHV Schönheide went bankrupt in April 2009, Losch moved to local rivals and league rivals, the "Wild Boys" from Chemnitz. In the two seasons 2009 to 2011, the striker completed 48 competitive games in which he scored 66 points (28 goals, 38 assists) for the Wild Boys Chemnitz .
Before the 2011/12 season he moved back to Schönheide from the Wild Boys Chemnitz. Actually already reported as a permanent fixture among the Küchwalders, the Berlin-born man ultimately had personal and professional reasons to terminate his contract with Chemnitz and return to his "old" place of work in the Ore Mountains . In his 6th season with the Schönheider Wölfen, they were cup winners of the Oberliga Ost 2012, where he played a major role as the best striker (18 goals) and top scorer of the Oberliga Ost 2011/12 cup (35 points, 18 goals, 17 assists ). In the Oberliga Ost season 2012/2013, the veteran received the award as a player with the "hardest slap shot" in the league.
Mike Losch ended his successful professional and amateur career in August 2014 for professional reasons. He was active in Schönheide for a total of eight seasons and completed 280 competitive games in which he was able to record 224 goals and 233 assists. Only in the years 2009 to 2011 did he go on the ice for league rivals Chemnitz. At ETC Crimmitschau he was also active for eight seasons, but without interruption. Moved from the professional camp of the second division ETC Crimmitschau to the Erzgebirge in 2004, he played a significant role in the realignment and further development of the Schönheide ice hockey sport.
International
As a German national player, Mike Losch took part in the Junior World Championships of 1993 and 1994 in the youth team for Germany .
Private
Mike Losch is the father of two children and lives in Crimmitschau , where he is a self-employed personal trainer and course leader in a vitality center.
