Milù
Milù , actually Anke Hachfeld , (* May 1973 ) is a German singer.
biography
Hachfeld turned to music at the age of 16. Hachfeld is known for her 4- octave voice and her onomatopoeic singing in her own fantasy language.
With her band Mila Mar , she released four albums and three singles on Strange Ways Records between 1998 and 2003 , which were particularly popular in the black and world music scene. Through cooperation with filmmakers, the Berlin short film series Fucking Different was created from 2003 to 2005 on the subject of same-sex love and sex. The film, produced by Kristian Petersen, premiered at the 2005 Berlinale . Milù is also featured on the album Ich träum so leise von dir , released in 2004 , an album in memory of the poet Else Lasker-Schüler . Other guests were Katja Riemann , Suzie Kerstgens (singer of the band Klee ) and Mieze Katz (singer of the band Mia ).
In 2003 Milù started a collaboration with Christopher von Deylen's Globaltrance project Schiller . For the Schiller album Leben , on which Milù is represented with three songs, the single Liebe and Babel and More , she received a gold record . The follow-up work Day and Night , entitled “More” by Milù, was also awarded a gold record in 2006. She plays the Schiller tours together with Peter Heppner ( Wolfsheim ) and Gary Wallis ( Pink Floyd live drummer). The album Leben was released in the English version life , with the Milù title Love .
She has been on concert tours and festival appearances with Mila Mar , Schiller , Wolfsheim , Mari Boine (Norway) and Youssou N'Dour (Senegal). In spring 2007 she started the concert series funeral feast tour through cultural churches and theaters.
In 2005 Milù released her first solo album No Future in Gold on Drakkar Records , which was produced by her pianist and co-composer Dirk Riegner . The single Aus Gold - Milù with Peter Heppner & Kim Sanders was released in advance in December 2004 . Made of gold is a statement against war. The proceeds from the sale of the single were donated to Afghan children's homes in cooperation with the German Red Cross . Gold reached number 60 in the German single charts . On the German-language album No Future in Gold , Milù primarily deals with the indefiniteness and finiteness of life: "Do you remember your childhood, when the magic stole your days and the world never turned, was just always with you?" Time orphan from No Future in Gold ). Her second solo album Longing Speaks with Many Tongues was released on January 25, 2008 on Premium Records . The album is less pop-heavy than its predecessor.
