Milagros Caiña Carreiro-Andree (also Milagros Caiña-Andree , formerly Caiña-Lindemann, born November 26, 1962 in Boborás , Galicia) is a Spanish business manager who grew up in Germany . She was a member of the Board of Management of BMW AG from 2012 to 2019 .

Life

Caiña Carreiro-Andree came to Germany when she was three. In 1982 she passed her Abitur in Menden in the Sauerland region and then completed vocational training as an industrial clerk at Werdohl- based Vossloh -Werke, a medium-sized company for rail vehicle technology and infrastructure. As an employee, she worked her way up the company hierarchy. She initially worked as an assistant to the management and, from 1989 to 1993, completed part-time training with a degree in business administration (VWA) , after which she switched to human resources . In 1999 she finally became the company's Chief Human Resources Officer and thus responsible for the approximately 5,000 employees at Vossloh at the time.

In 2006 she moved to Deutsche Bahn AG / DB Mobility Logistics to be responsible for management . Since April 2011, she has been Head of HR in the “Transport and Logistics” department at DB Mobility Logistics AG and also Chief Human Resources Officer at Schenker AG in Essen , the management company in the DB Schenker Logistics business unit .

In July 2012, she moved to the BMW Board of Management, where she took over the management of the “Human Resources and Social Affairs” department and the role of Labor Director. This means that over 100,000 BMW employees worldwide came under her area of ​​responsibility. She was the first woman on the Board of Management of BMW and at the time of her appointment she was the tenth woman on a management committee of the 30 DAX companies . In the past, she expressed media reports that she was hostile to women's quotas . The former BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer called in March 2012 compared to the " world " in 2020 among women in management positions at BMW a "target range from 15 to 17 percent." Another area of ​​conflict in her area of ​​responsibility in connection with the works council and unions was the subject of temporary work at BMW.

Milagros Caiña Carreiro-Andree is married to the former Vossloh board spokesman Werner Andree.
