Mito (水 戸 駅)

The Mito-Line ( Japanese水 戸 線Mito-sen ) is part of the network of the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) in the northern metropolitan area of Tokyo . It connects the cities of Oyama in Tochigi Prefecture and Tomobe in Ibaraki .

There is only one track between Oyama and Tomobe . From Tomobe it runs on the tracks of the Joban Line .

Since August 26, 2006 , new trains from the E531 series have been running on the Mito-Line.
