Momo Kohlschmidt (born December 3, 1971 in Cottbus ) is a German actress and singer .

Life

The actress and singer, who was born and raised in Cottbus , was a successful gymnast in GDR sports in her childhood and youth . She is the younger sister of the soccer player Jörg Schwanke . At the age of 15 she first met the Cottbus painter and Brandenburg art prize winner Hans Scheuerecker . First stage work and art performances followed such as B. “I don't die so easily in summer”, direction and painting: Hans Scheuerecker, dance, games and singing: Momo Kohlschmidt and piano: Ulrich Gumpert . After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, Kohlschmidt went to Berlin and trained in acting and singing in the years that followed. From 1994 she accepted an engagement at the Freie Kammerspiele Magdeburg and in 1996 became a freelance actress in Berlin. In 1997 she married the composer and front man of the band Sandow Kai-Uwe Kohlschmidt. The two have two children. In 2000, she and her husband founded the band Ozeancity. Momo Kohlschmidt worked in several theater, film, television and radio play productions. For many years she was a permanent member of the Documentary Theater Berlin ensemble. She is a member of the ensemble of the variety productions Balagan and Little Big World . She has been a member of the Mangan25 artist group since 2012.

She is married to the singer of the band Sandow and composer Kai-Uwe Kohlschmidt and now lives in the Spreewald .
