The nature reserve moor and heathland near Kircheib is located in the districts of Neuwied and Altenkirchen (Westerwald) in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The approximately 21.0 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1982 , extends southwest of the local community Kircheib and northeast of Griesenbach , a district of the local community Buchholz (Westerwald) , directly on the north-running B 8 . State road L 255 runs along the western edge .
