Disease

Morbus is the Latin word for illness . In the language of medicine , disease gives a name in connection with the name of the first person to describe a disease (see: Eponym ), whereby different names are often common for the same disease.

In the English- speaking world, the use of disease is uncommon, but the diseases are often named by the name of the person who first described them. Analogous to the construction in the German Graves' disease is example of Graves' disease in the English disease Graves' .
