Moshe Shachal
Moshe Shachal ( Hebrew משה שחל; * May 20, 1934 in Baghdad ) is a former Israeli politician.
Moshe Shachal immigrated to Israel in 1950, where he studied economics and politics at the University of Haifa . For the 1969 Knesset elections, he was 57th on the Avoda list ; in the replacement procedure he replaced Mordechai Ofer on September 1, 1971 . He was re-elected in 1974, 1977 and 1981. Moshe Shachal held several ministerial posts: from 1984 to 1990 and 1992 to 1995 he was Minister for Energy & Infrastructure , 1992 to 1993 Minister of Communications, 1992 to 1995 Police Minister and 1995 to 1996 Minister for Internal Security.
