Moschga ( Russian Можга ) is a city in the Udmurt Republic ( Russia ) with 47,961 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The city is located about 100 km southwest of the republic capital Izhevsk on the Sjuginka river in the river system of the Kama .
Moschga is administratively directly subordinate to the republic and at the same time the administrative center of the Rajon of the same name .
history
The village was founded in 1835 with the establishment of the glassworks Sjuginski Zavod , named after 1917 briefly Sovetsky , later Krasny and finally received in 1926 under the present name city charter (under the old name of a settling in the area Udmurtensippe ).
