NGC 2380 = NGC 2382 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Great Dog in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 70 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by John Herschel on February 5, 1837 .
