NGC 7380 or SH2-142, even magician mist (ger .: Wizard Nebula called), is a galactic star-forming region in the constellation Cepheus . The area contains a young open star cluster , is around 7,000 light years away, and has an extent of around 100 light years.
It was discovered by Caroline Lucretia Herschel on August 7, 1787 .
