NGC 7379 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Lacerta in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 249 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Edouard Stephan on September 22, 1876 .
