NGC 7392 is a barred spiral galaxy with extensive star formation from Hubble type SBBC in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 145 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 95,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies NGC 7381 and IC 5261 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by William Herschel on September 11, 1787 .
