NGC 7410 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Crane in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 78 million light years from the Milky Way and about 25,000 light years across. It probably forms a garavitively bound galaxy pair with NGC 7404 .
The Type Ia / P supernova SN 2014ba was observed here.
The object was discovered on July 14, 1826 by the Scottish astronomer James Dunlop .
