NGC 7422 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 221 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 65,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy IC 1460 .
The type Ic supernova SN 2008du was observed here.
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on August 11, 1864 .
