NGC 7393 = Arp 15 is a bar-spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 174 million light-years away from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light-years across.
Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This galaxy belongs to the class spiral galaxies with separated sections (Arp catalog) .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on October 5, 1785 .
