NGC 7378 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 320 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 50,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy NGC 7371 .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Tempel on September 19, 1879 .
