NGC 7377 is a lenticular galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SB0 / a in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 152 million light years from the Milky Way and about 135,000 light years in diameter. The galaxy has an angular extent of 3 ′, 0 × 2 ′, 5 and an apparent magnitude of 11.0 mag.
Together with NGC 7359 , NGC 7365 , NGC 7392 , IC 5261 , PGC 69557 , PGC 69653 , PGC 69678 , PGC 69860 and PGC 69631 it forms the NGC 7377 group .
The Type Ia supernova SN 2004db was observed here.
The object was discovered by William Herschel on October 13, 1786 .
