IC 5261 is a faint bar spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 147 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxy NGC 7392 is located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on September 11, 1896 .
