IC 5256 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBd in the constellation Indians in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 165 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years across.
The galaxy IC 5252 is located in the same area of ​​the sky .
