IC 5258 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Pegasus at the northern sky . It is an estimated 358 million light years from the Milky Way and about 125,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on October 26, 1897 .
