IC 5245 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 / aim constellation Toucan in the southern sky . It is an estimated 142 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 35,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7358 , IC 5246 , IC 5247 , IC 5250 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on August 21, 1900 .
