National League A (chess) 2016
The National League A 2016 was the top division of the Swiss team championship 2016. The champion was the Zurich chess company , while the defending champion Club d'Echecs de Genève had to be content with fifth place. From the National League B were in the previous year, the SC Bodan and SK Solothurn ascended. While SC Bodan achieved relegation, Solothurn and Echallens Chess Club had to relegate directly.

Game dates
The competitions took place on March 20th, April 17th, May 22nd, June 11th and 12th, August 27th and 28th and October 8th and 9th, with a sixth round competition because of the overlap with the European Youth Championship was postponed to September 18. The last two rounds were played centrally in Carouge , the other competitions were held locally at the clubs involved.
