The national road 208 ( Chinese  208 国 道 , Pinyin 208 Guódào , English China National Highway 208 ), Chinese abbreviation G208 , is a 990 km long north-south trunk road in eastern China in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and in the Province of Shanxi . It runs from Eren Hot on the Mongolian border parallel to the northern part of the G55 motorway via Ulanqab , Datong , Zuoquan , Shanyin and Taiyuan to the city of Changzhi .
