The National Road 217 ( Chinese 217国道 , Pinyin 217 Guódào , English China National Highway 217 ), Ch. Abbr. G217 is a 1753 km long in a north-south direction running highway in northwest China in the autonomous region of Xinjiang . It leads from Altay via Burqin , Orku , Baijiantan , Karamay , Kuytun and Dushanzi to Kuqa . From there it leads through the Taklamakan desert to Hotan , where it joins the G315 national road .
