The National Road 223 ( Chinese 223国道 , Pinyin 223 Guódào , English China National Highway 223 ), Ch. Abbr. G223 , is a 323 km long highway in the east of the island province of Hainan in southern China . It leads from the provincial capital Haikou in the north of the island via Qionghai , Wanning and Lingshui to Sanya on the south coast. It runs parallel to the eastern part of the G98 ring road .
