The national road 224 ( Chinese 224 国 道 , Pinyin 224 Guódào , English China National Highway 224 ), Chinese abbreviation G224 , is a 309 km long highway in the center of the island and Hainan province in southern China . It leads from the provincial capital Haikou in the north of the island via Tunchang , Qiongzhong and Wuzhishan to Sanya on the south coast.
