Nauraj Singh Randhawa Amarjit Singh (born January 27, 1992 in Johor Bahru ) is a Malaysian high jumper .

Athletic career

Nauraj Singh Randhawa gained his first international experience at the Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan , where he was eliminated from the qualification with 2.15 m. He then won the bronze medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Palembang with a jump over 2.18 m behind Iranian Keyvan Ghanbarzadeh and Majd Eddin Ghazal from Syria and won the Southeast Asian Games in Naypyidaw with 2.17 m. The following year he took part in the Asian Indoor Championships in Hangzhou and was eighth there with 2.10 m. In the summer he took part in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and was eliminated there with 2.06 m in qualification. At the end of September he finished 14th at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea . At the 2015 Student World Games in Gwangju , he was eliminated with 2.00 m in qualification. Before that, he won the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore with 2.13 m.

In 2016 he qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where he was eliminated with 2.26 m in qualification . In 2017 he took part in the World Championships in London , where 2.26 m was not enough for the final . He then won the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur with a jump of 2.24 m. In 2018 he again took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast , where he finished tenth with 2.18 m. At the end of August he also took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where he finished seventh with 2.24 m. The following year he reached sixth place at the Asian Championships in Doha with a height of 2.23 m. At the beginning of December he had to admit defeat to his compatriot Lee Hup Wei at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas with 2.21 m and thus won the silver medal.

In 2013 and 2018, Randhawa became the Malaysian high jump champion.
