Nausis is a district of the municipality Knüllwald in the north Hessian Schwalm-Eder district .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1003. The name of the place is interpreted as ("new seat" = Nausis). From 1428 Nausis was a fiefdom of the Hersfeld monastery and was owned by von Baumbach . The " Rengshausen court " with the villages of Hausen, Licherode, Lichtenhagen, Nausis and Nenterode belonged to the Rotenburg office from 1579 , which was part of the Rotenburger Quart from 1627 to 1835 .

In 1910 the place had about 129 inhabitants.

Territorial reform

In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , Nausis merged voluntarily with the municipalities of Lichtenhagen , Nenterode and Rengshausen to form the new municipality of Rengshausen , with the contract of October 24, 1971, effective December 31, 1971 .

On 1 January 1974, this community was, in the formation of the Schwalm-Eder district , with the municipalities Berndshausen and Niederbeisheim powerful state law in the greater community of Knüllwald incorporated . Local districts were established for all former municipalities .

Infrastructure

In Nausis there is the volunteer fire brigade , a rural women’s association and a singing group.
