Nelli Nailjewna Schiganschina ( Russian : Нелли Наильевна Жиганшина ), (English transliteration Nelli Zhiganshina , sometimes also Nailja Schiganschina ; born March 31, 1987 in Moscow ) is a Russian figure skater who starts in ice dancing . It has been running for Germany since 2006.
Until 2004 she started with Denis Basdyrew for Russia. Her brother Ruslan Schiganschin is also an ice dancer and, with Jelena Iljinych, forms an internationally successful couple for Russia.
She has been running with Alexander Gazsi since 2005 . The couple trained with Jelena Kustarowa in Moscow and Chemnitz. In 2007 you became German ice dance champion. She started for the USG Chemnitz.
The couple has been training at the Oberstdorf Federal Training Center since 2010 . Your trainers are Rostislaw Sinizyn and Martin Skotnický . Nelli Schiganschina is now starting for the EC Oberstdorf.
At the end of the 2014/15 season, when the couple had to withdraw from the World Cup due to illness, Alexander Gazsi ended his active career. Nelli Schiganschina has been looking for a new partner ever since (as of September 2015).
