Neusiedl is a village in the market town of Hernstein in Lower Austria with 189 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).

Neusiedl was first mentioned in 1374 as Newsidl . At that time the place was still a rule of its own; In 1380 Neusiedl was incorporated into Hernstein and at the same time was sold with Hernstein to the sovereign. Eleven houses were listed in Neusiedl in 1590 and two more were in the Rotte Steinhof . In 1795 the town grew to 16 houses, and the eleven farmhouses were joined by five other small houses.

It is worth mentioning that Arthur Krupp had a model farm built on the site of a burned down farm around 1880 in order to teach farmers a better way of building.
