background information

In non deserves is the second joint single release of Michelle and Matthias Reim. As early as December 2, 2002, Idiot released a duet as a single for the first time. Due to the continued popularity, Idiot was re-released on May 6, 2011. The single initially made it into the German single charts, and the re-release also achieved chart success in Austria. In Germany, Idiot reached its highest price in 16 chart weeks at position 34. In Austria, the single was able to climb to position 57 in four weeks of the chart. In addition, Reim has also worked as a writer and producer for Michelle since 2002. Although he has since written many songs for Michelle and writes most of his songs himself, he is not involved in any of the duo's duets in the production. Shortly after it was announced that the two had re-recorded a duet, the gazettes pounced on the former lovers and speculated about a new love affair. However, it was only a matter of rumors, at this point Reim was with the pop singer Christin Stark and Michelle with Karsten Walter von Feuerherz .

The sequel to Idiot should not be deserved and thus represent the second part. The song is almost predestined to perform it with a male counterpart with a distinctive voice like that of Reim. Michelle couldn't have imagined the duet with anyone else. That is exactly what makes up part of this “ authenticity ”. Everyone would know that the two had actually been together once.

content

This is followed by the second stanza, which is again followed by a bridge, but with a modified text. After the second bridge, the repeating chorus follows at the end. All parts of the piece are sung alternately or together by both performers, with Michelle singing from the perspective of a woman and rhyme from the perspective of a man. In addition to the main vocals by Michelle and Reim, the voice of the Austrian singer Petra Bonmassar can be heard in the background .

“Because he doesn't deserve you, not you.
No, he doesn't deserve you, take me.
You and me that went so close because it was real love.

Because she didn't deserve you, not you.
No, she didn't deserve you, take me.
I give you great happiness, but baby, please come back to me. "
