Nicki Micheaux
Nicki Micheaux (* 1971 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American actress . She gained fame largely through her role as Jenn Sutton in the ABC Family series Lincoln Heights .
life and career
Nicki Micheaux was born the daughter of an officer . Together with her husband, whom she married in 2000, she has a daughter (* 2005) and a son (* 2009).
Micheaux's first television appearances were in the movie Emergency in Space in 1996 and in Fatal Confession in 1997 . After guest roles in Practice - The Lawyers , City of Angels , Strong Medicine: Two Doctors like Fire and Ice and Felicity followed a recurring role in the series Soul Food in 2001 and 2002 . Also in 2002, she played the role of Karla in Six Feet Under for six episodes . After further appearances in The West Wing - In the Center of Power , New York Cops - NYPD Blue and JAG - In 2004 a seven-part appearance in The Shield - Law of Violence followed . In 2005 she made a guest appearance in Desperate Housewives and in 2006 in Brothers & Sisters . Micheaux's first leading role, which also brought her notoriety, was Jennifer "Jenn" Sutton in 2007, opposite Russell Hornsby in Lincoln Heights . She held this role until the series was discontinued after four seasons in 2009. In the same year she appeared in an episode of Castle . In 2010 she appeared in several short films and an episode of the Detroit 1-8-7 series. In 2011 she appeared in Law & Order: LA , The Mentalist, and Prime Suspect . In 2012 she was part of an episode of the TNT series Perception .
