Nico Ehrenteit (* 1989 in Berlin ) is a German actor .

Life

Nico Ehrenteit, born in Berlin-Köpenick , grew up on the eastern edge of Berlin, in Friedrichshagen and in the district of Hessenwinkel . He attended the Bölsche School in Berlin-Friedrichshagen. He became interested in the fine arts at an early age and accompanied his parents to museum visits and exhibitions. As a teenager, he performed in the youth club of the Cöpenick City Theater. At the age of 15 he passed the entrance exam to a private drama school and left school at the age of 16. From 2006 he received regular acting lessons, attended film seminars at the German Film and Television Academy (DFFB) in Berlin and passed the state stage entrance examination (ZAV degree) in 2010 .

As a theater actor, he initially had various engagements in Berlin, including in the Kulturbrauerei Berlin (2009), in the Urania Berlin (2009), at the Junge Deutsche Theater (2010), at the Volksbühne Berlin in the Großer Haus and at various venues (from 2011 ) and at the Komische Oper Berlin (season 2012/13).

In the season 2013/14 he performed at the Theater of Würzburg as Mios buddy Jum-Jum in the Christmas play Mio, My Son . In the 2014/15 season he was guest at the Vorarlberger Landestheater as Lysander in the Shakespeare comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream in a production by Alexander Kubelka . He had further engagements at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater (2014) and at the Münchner Kammerspiele (2015).

In 2016 he played the role of the robber Spiegelberg and was also the narrator in Matthias Hartmann's multimedia production of Schiller's early work The Robbers at the Salzburg State Theater and the Volkstheater Vienna . In the 2016/17 season he appeared at the Karlsruhe State Theater as Prince Wilhelm in the fairytale play Snow White and Rose Red . He also played at the Theater am Neumarkt Zurich (2016) and at the Theater an der Parkaue (2017).

Ehrenteit was also in front of the camera for various cinema and television productions. In the short film Five minutes Friendship (2014), in which he a DDR - border guards played was Anton Spieker his partner. The film was shown at the Biberach Film Festival in 2015 . The short film As Beautiful as You (2014) by Austrian director Franziska Pflaum , with honorary service in a supporting role as village youth Daniel, was awarded the German Short Film Prize in 2014. In 2014 Ehrenteit was invited to a casting for Steven Spielberg's agent thriller Bridge of Spies - The Negotiator , in which he was initially supposed to play a GDR spy. Ehrenteit was not given the originally intended role, but at Spielberg's request he was cast in another, larger, expanded role as an East German youth alongside Tom Hanks ; Filming finally began for Ehrenteit in October 2014. In the French cinema production L'origine de la violence (2016) he played the concentration camp guard and Kapo Müller, directed by Élie Chouraqui .

In the ZDF documentary Germany's great clans - The C & A Story (2016), he also played the C&A company founder August Brenninkmeijer in the game scenes .

He made his TV debut as a murder victim and corpse in the ZDF series SOKO Wismar . In the ARD television series Pensionnercops (first broadcast: December 2016) he took on an episode role as petty crook Kevin alongside Pit Bukowski , Wolfgang Winkler and Heike Trinker . In March 2018, Nico Ehrenteit can be seen in the ZDF series Bettys Diagnose in an episode role, as militant animal rights activist and vegetarian Tom Linner. In March 2018, an episode of the ZDF series Notruf Hafenkante was broadcast, in which Ehrenteit had an episode role; He embodied the “cleansed” former criminal Marlon Hoffer, who meanwhile offers violence prevention courses for potentially criminal young people together with the Hamburg police at a Hamburg district school.
