Nicola Tiggeler (born April 1, 1960 in Hanover ) is a German actress , singer , dancer and drama teacher.

Life

Nicola Tiggeler is the daughter of the opera director Steffen Tiggeler (1931–2013) and a violinist. She sang her first roles at the Hanover State Opera at pre-school age . After graduating from the Salem boarding school , she studied with Judith Beckmann at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater from 1978 to 1985 . In the summer of 1980 she was one of the bridesmaids in the opera Der Freischütz at the Eutin Festival . In 1984 she sang Mrs. Nolan in Das Medium in a performance of the Opera Studio of the Hamburg University of Music and Theater. In 1986 she graduated as an opera singer and singing teacher.

She made her stage debut as a professional actress at the State Opera Hanover - in a production of the opera Die Hochzeit des Figaro . This was followed by stage engagements at the Augsburg Theater (1986–1992; there, inter alia, 1989 as Second Squire in Parsifal and 1990 as Anna in Dido and Aeneas by Francesco Cavalli ), at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg and at the Bayreuth Festival . In the 1992/93 season she sang Annina in the opera La Traviata at the Wiesbaden State Theater .

Since 1998 she has also worked as a teacher for acting, singing, voice training and speech training . As part of this activity, she received various teaching assignments, for example at the University of Music and Dance in Hamburg and at the University of Music in Munich. In addition, she has been working as a language coach at the Bavarian State Opera since 2004 .

In 1993 Nicola Tiggeler made her debut as a television actress in the crime series Der Fahnder . Until 1996 she played the role of Yvonne Meineke, the friend of the main character (played by Jörg Schüttauf ) in 20 episodes of the series . In 1995, she occupied as the lead actress of the RTL series A woman is chased a German variant of Dr. Kimble .

Nicola Tiggeler was part of the regular cast of various television series such as Happy Holiday (1992), The moon also shines for subtenants (1995) and Between Day and Night (1995). She also made guest appearances in television series such as Ein Fall für Zwei (1998) and SOKO 5113 (1998). At Unser Charly she replaced Karin Kienzer in the series lead role of Michaela Martin in 2000 .

In addition to her work in spoken and music theater, film and television, Nicola Tiggeler also works as a speaker. In 1988/89 she worked as a television announcer for Süddeutscher Rundfunk . Since 1997 she has lent her voice to numerous radio play productions.

From June 2006 to October 2007 Tiggeler played the role of the scheming Barbara von Heidenberg in the telenovela Sturm der Liebe . After a year break, she returned to the ARD telenovela from November 2008 to July 2009. After this second season of episodes, Tiggeler resumed teaching and played in the theater. From mid-June 2010 to September 2011 (episode 1384) she took over her role again as Barbara von Heidenberg. From October 2013 to December 2013 Tiggeler was seen in the same role (but under a new series name) in Storm of Love .

Private life

During her theater engagement in Augsburg, Nicola Tiggeler met her colleague Timothy Peach , with whom she has been married since 1988. Both are also ambassadors for SOS Children's Villages

Nicola Tiggeler and Timothy Peach live in Munich and have two children.
