Niederellenbach is a district of the municipality of Alheim in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district in East Hesse .
geography
Niederellenbach is located in the northeast of Hesse on the Fulda . Immediately on the eastern edge of the village the Holzgraben flows into the Fulda.
history
In 1939 the village had 289 inhabitants and belonged to the Rotenburg (Fulda) district .
As part of the regional reform in Hesse , Niederellenbach was merged with nine other villages on August 1, 1972 to form the newly founded community of Alheim.

Buildings
The fortified cemetery is worth seeing, in the middle of which stands the fortified church with what is probably the oldest masonry in the district.
