Nils Oskamp

Nils Oskamp (born December 11, 1969 in Bochum ) is a German graphic designer , illustrator , animator , comic artist and activist .

Life

Oskamp first studied graphic design at the Ruhrakademie in Schwerte and later animation at the Hamburg Animation School. He won the Hamburg Animation Award with his graduation film Voodee .

Together with six other Hamburg illustrators, Oskamp founded the professional association Illustrators Organization in 2002 . He attended the comic seminar in Erlangen thirteen times and published the short story Auf Wiederseemann in the anniversary book Déjà-Vu . In 2006 he worked as a guest artist in Atelier Sanzot . In 2007 he began working on his graphic novel Drei Steine in the Atelier du Marquis Angoulême ; this was published by Panini in May 2016 and was presented with an exhibition at the Erlangen Comic Salon .

Oskamp has been working as an illustrator for the magazines Spiegel , Hörzu , Men's Health , Geolino, Auto-Bild and various advertising agencies since 1999 . With the exhibition Drei Steine , Oskamp was actively represented against right-wing populist publishers at the Frankfurt Book Fair and the Leipzig Book Fair . Oskamp holds readings and workshops in schools to raise awareness about right-wing extremism . The traveling exhibition for the graphic novel Drei Steine has been shown in twelve locations so far.
