The Nora Township is one of 23 townships in Jo Daviess County in the northwest of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois .

The Nora Township is located in northwest Illinois on the border with Wisconsin . The Iowa border , which is formed by the Mississippi , is around 50 km to the west.
The Nora Township is located at 42 ° 26 'north latitude and 89 ° 57' west longitude and extends over 65.55 km².
The Nora Township is located in the extreme northeast of Jo Daviess County, bordered to the south by Wards Grove Township , to the southwest by Stockton Township , to the west by Rush Township and to the northwest by Warren Township . To the east, the township is bordered by Stephenson County and to the north by Grant County in Wisconsin.

The western boundary of Nora Township is formed by Illinois State Route 78 . There are also two paved county roads and a number of subordinate unpaved roads within the township.
To the north, a Canadian National Railway line crosses Nora Township.

At the 2010 census , the township had 370 residents. Within the Nora Township, there is only one independent community ( Nora with the status of " Village ") in addition to the scattered settlement without any community .
