The Derinda Township borders within Jo Daviess County in the west on the Hanover Township , in the northwest on the Elizabeth Township , in the north on the Woodbine Township , in the northeast on the Stockton Township and in the east on the Pleasant Valley Township . In the south, the Derinda Township borders on Carroll County .
