The Wards Grove Township is one of 23 townships in Jo Daviess County in the northwest of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois .

The Wards Grove Township is located in northwest Illinois. The border with Iowa , which is formed by the Mississippi , is about 50 km to the west; the Wisconsin border is about 20 to the north.
The Wards Grove Township is located in the east of Jo Daviess County at 42 ° 20'06 "north latitude and 89 ° 57'40" west longitude and extends over 46.17 km². In the middle of the township is the Wards Grove Nature Preserve .
Within Jo Daviess County, the township is bordered by Berreman Township to the south, Pleasant Valley Township to the southwest, Stockton Township to the west, Rush Township to the northwest and Nora Township to the north . In the east, the Wards Grove Township borders on Stephenson County and in the south on Carroll County .
