Sweden took part in the 6th Nordic World Ski Championships , which took place from February 5 to 10, 1929 in Zakopane , Poland , with five skiers in the official individual competitions.

The Swedish athletes mainly competed in the two cross-country skiing competitions . Here Hjalmar Bergström won bronze medals over 18 km and Olle Hansson over 50 km . The Swedes registered five participants with the organizer from the outset, whereby the names of four skiers were first announced and the later bronze medalist Olle Hansson was nominated. This may have been preceded by an internal qualification.
