Location of the north town in Euskirchen

The northern part of Euskirchen is the district that stretches between the main cemetery in the west, Jülicher Ring and Keltenring in the south, Theodor-Nießen-Strasse in the north and Erftstrasse in the east. Integrated into the northern part of the city is the Europadorf district around Unitasstrasse , which was formerly a settlement area. Since the summer of 2016, the residential area north of Unitasstrasse has been expanded to include the “Gertrudisgärten” development area.

The approximately 20 hectare residential area on the northern outskirts of Euskirchen is characterized in the east by terraced houses with gardens, while in the west there are mainly multi-storey apartment buildings. The main traffic axis Kessenicher Straße runs through the north of the city in a north-south direction. In the northern town is the district office of the city, and the German Red Cross -Zentrum Euskirchen / Eifel . Furthermore, the district borders the Erftauen leisure facilities in the northeast. In addition to the carnivalist IG Nordstadt, the KSB (Kreissportbund) Euskirchen, which is based in the district building, should be mentioned as a club.

The district's transport links are provided by the SVE bus lines 860, 869 and 872 in Euskirchen local transport.
