history

The place was first mentioned in 856 in the award document of King Lothar II , when he gave his vassal Otbert a villa called Bullengesheim with a chapel .

In 1807 the parish was abolished and assigned to Großbüllesheim, but it was rebuilt in 1849. Since 1907 Kleinbüllesheim has had two churches, both called St. Peter and Paul , one new and one old. In Liber valoris , the current Kleinbüllesheim is called aliud Bullisheym = the other Büllesheim in contrast to "inferior Bullisheym" = Niederbüllesheim, today's Großbüllesheim.

In 1728 the medieval Great Castle was replaced by a new building. The master builder was Johann Conrad Schlaun , who retained the division of the medieval complex, the water fence and the late Gothic gate and built the manor house as a castle-like country residence. The built of field fire brick outer bailey was rebuilt after a fire in 1756 partially.

The Kleinbüllesheim “Little Castle” burned out in 1873 and then fell into disrepair.

In the meadows of the Erftmühlenbach there was an early medieval fortification, a so-called motte . When the stream was moved in 1956, it was leveled and completely disappeared.

On July 1, 1969, Kleinbüllesheim was incorporated into Euskirchen.
